Red Ribbons and sneeze weed


Planted late last fall, 2009, these beauties are fantastic. Red Ribbons is a spider form daylilly and Helenium is a great orange color.

Japanese Bettle attack


Japanese Beetles have arrived and attacked Persicaria before the roses this year.

Blueberry success


I have planted many blueberry bushes and this is the first successful product. I think the key is very well drained soil, with lots of pine needles for acidity. Time will tell if they thrive next year.

Thanks to my freind formerly known as "ponytail Paul" I was able to transplant this treasure from my former home. It is know to abhor transplant and it took almost 5 years to recover. A 6' shrub before the move, it now stands 5' once again.

To the Pool

I wanted to hide the bright blue sides of the above ground swimming pool, so I planted tall things on either side of the road that leads to the pool.

I planted this daylily to see if the crimped petals would grow true to the photos and they really do. It was classified as a UFO. I am hoping that it grows taller next year, this year it is 48" tall.
